Now it is time to configure your rates.

Click on the Property Configuration button.

Click the Rates and Currency Tab. Choose a Rate management type that fits your slip best.

  • Normal is the simplest rate configuration mode. If you are happy to set one price to be valid for particular slip types from now and for the next ten years then you should use this mode. It's very easy to configure and you can effectively set it and forget it. The only time you might want to consider changing settings is when you want to change the number of slips, or you put the price up.
  • Micromanage is usually the rate editing mode of choice for single slip properties as it allows you to easily configure the value of each and every day of a booking for the next however many years you decide.
  • Advanced mode allows you to precisely control certain aspects of your rates. For example you can ensure that a rate is only available over a given weekend period by setting the valid from/to dates and the option "Weekends only" to Yes. If you do that, then the rate will only be available if a booking's particulars fall within a certain set of parameters (eg min and max days could be 2-3 days) so you can ensure that bookings for that period have to be of a certain length. Another feature of advanced editing mode is the Ignore PPPN (per person per night) option. It is possible to use this option so that a slip that normally charges per person per night can offer, for example, family slips that are not charged per head, but per slip.

Scroll down towards the bottom. If your price includes tax, answer the last question as yes and leave the tax rate box empty. If you want to add tax to your price, put in a fixed tax amount or tax percentage. (example: in NJ there is 7% sales tax so you would put 7 in the percentage box.) If you need a tax rate that is not listed, contact us and we can add it for you.
